84. The Circle Scarf

In the giant scheme of things, I don't particularly like American Apparel. It's fun to laugh at, with some of the ridiculously tacky items like gold bodysuits and disco inspired clothing. Their ads can be very degrading and just rude in their approach. There's many bad things about the company, but there are several items of clothing that make me praise them. This being one of them.

As chunky scarf, wrapped twice

As regular scarf, once around the neck
As shawl type thing, much easier on bare arms and not a cardigan

Scarf - AA / Cardigan - Gap / printed tank - Dynamite / white tank - Bluenotes / pants - Old Navy / boots - Steve Madden / pearls - costume jewelry stolen from Mom

The circle scarf. The almighty scarf with which you can do a million things. I lusted after this for a very long time, while not wanting to purchase it online because I didn't know if I'd like it. The scarf is something I don't wear nearly enough, and I'm not sure why. I want a brighter color I think. It's so versatile but most importantly it's thick and chunky and warm. Layers of fabric are the way to go in my office, and scarves that can surround your entire body. I've shown my three favourite ways to wear it, my personal fav being the first look. I love a good chunky scarf.

Anyone else got a favourite of AA? Or just a love of scarves in general? I'm still putting off going in to look for grey wool socks, I have a tendency to find more than one thing I want to buy.

49. The fog returns.

Dress as skirt - American Apparel
Tee - f21
Flats - American Eagle, via Payless
And I still can't get a decent picture. Boyfriend took these today, and my glasses still got a brutal glare. I will figure this out soon enough. The pictures are basically all the same but I'm counting today as a win, two days of blogging in a row. Baby steps...

Day 2 of the Challenge is Tucked in. I'm not nearly brave enough to do a button-up tucked in, so a skirt it shall be. I do this alot, very used to it with work. I looove to tuck in shirts with skirts, it compliments my waist which is significantly smaller than my hips. This skirt is actually a dress, American Apparel jersey dress. When I wear it I tend to circulate about 5 different ways, skirt top and three variations of a dress. It's just so versatile and the color is so happy. I've gotten lots of compliments on it, usually people saying how much they love my dress when it's worn in the skirt/tank combo! Gotta love multi-tasking clothing.

The only downside to skirts like these? The wind likes to take them and blow them around. I may have flashed someone while running errands. Just one of the benefits of looking pretty, I suppose!

22. Out of order.

Since I meant to post OOTD's from last week on Sunday and Monday, I had two posts ready. I ended up posting Monday anyways and forgot about the other post. Today seems good enough, right?

Out of order this week I suppose. I'll still have my Project 52 and FBFF for Friday. I feel weird not following a schedule, it keeps me in line. A one-off for this week I guess. Here they are!

The above outfit is one I've been saving for a while. A cousin of mine picked it up in Spain from Zara, which I've now realized I love dearly. Still have the option of ordering online and sending it to her, but I want to go to Madrid and see the store in person! Big dreams, I kn

wrap cardi - garage, 06? / le sac dress - aa / tights - walmart / heels (not pictured) - naturalizer

This is my "press-release-for-program-oh-my-god-what-do-I-wear" outfit. It worked out well. A little short for work but I get away with it. I have a lot of leg and apparently covering those legs with tights evens out the short? Maybe. I probably wouldn't do it again. And I'm in love with this dress, but I haven't worn it any other ways. It's convertible and very useful, but I get stumped. Oh well. I'll try the less covered up versions in the summer.

And off for another exciting day of work. I've nearly finished my work report, final read-through on it today and then binding and passing in! Yay! A few days early even! So happy it's done.
